Introduction

This Data Retention Policy explains how long Wazza keeps your data and how retention relates to your plan. It complements our Privacy Policy. The core principle: on Wazza, plan limits gate access to data - they never trigger deletion of your data.

1. History access is gated, not deleted

Each plan includes a conversation-history window (for example, 14 days on Trial, 6 months on Growth, unlimited on Agency and Scale). History older than your plan's window is hidden from view - it is not deleted. Upgrading your plan restores access to the full history immediately.

No retention deletion job exists or is planned. We never delete your data because of a plan change, downgrade, or lapse.

2. Trial and lapsed accounts

When a trial expires, your workspace becomes read-only and your data is retained for at least 60 days (and restored instantly if you upgrade). If your paid plan lapses, existing resources - connected numbers, seats, and stored history - are grandfathered and never destroyed; only new additions are blocked until you are back within your limits.

3. Account deletion

When you delete your account, associated personal data - including data received from Meta platforms, conversation history, and encrypted tokens - is deleted or irreversibly anonymized within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by law (for example, billing records). This mirrors section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

4. Any true deletion floor is plan-independent

If Wazza ever applies a hard deletion floor for inactive data, it will be a single, plan-independent period (at least 24 months) defined separately from billing - never a shorter window triggered by your subscription tier.

5. Security of retained data

While retained, WhatsApp and Facebook access tokens are encrypted at rest, and conversation history is protected in line with section 3 of our Privacy Policy. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel.
